I wholeheartedly recommend Renita Lee as an exceptional piano teacher for children. One of the most remarkable aspects of Renita's approach is her ability to foster a connection with her students on a personal level, making the student feel valued and understood. Through that connection comes a desire, on the student's side, to practice and really excel at playing. During the pandemic, Renita was a trusted confidant of my son and used music almost as therapy to help him through a difficult time. Ms. Renita has been my teacher since I was six years old. Now, as a fourteen year old (high school freshman), after all these years, I can really appreciate what she's taught me, in both music theory and in life. I can honestly say that Ms. Renita is one of the most important people in my life and I have really formed an amazing bond with her. She has inspired me in so many ways that go beyond the keys of the piano. She is more than a musician, more than a teacher, and so much more than a friend and I hope we stay good friends throughout life.

Renita has been teaching my daughter, Elizabeth, for the past seven years, beginning when she was just six years old. During this time, Renita has not only opened up the world of music to my daughter but has also become a cherished mentor and friend.

If you are looking for an excellent piano teacher that embodies love of music look no further. Renita Lee radiates joy and enthusiasm and it’s simply contagious. Her consistent, positive attitude builds relationships with her students which fosters a wonderful learning environment. For a year, my youngest eight-year-old daughter endured piano lessons from another piano teacher, and we watched her interest wane. Then we were fortunate enough to have a mutual friend recommend Renita. We switched and observed an instant change. Our daughter loved piano with Renita so much so that our oldest daughter also wanted to start piano lessons. For seven years, we enjoyed lessons with Renita until she moved to San Diego. She instilled in our girls an appreciation, not just for classical piano, but also to other art forms and fostered creativity that continues to enhance our lives. Renita tailored piano lessons to what my girls were passionate about; she brought a lesson book of ballet music for my youngest daughter who is a ballet dancer. During informal recitals, we met other students of all ages and we recognized in them the same admiration and weekly infusion of positivity and passion for music that Renita brought to our home. She truly became a mentor to my daughters and we consider her an extension of our family. I cannot recommend Renita enough to students of all ages and backgrounds.

We have known Renita Lee for over two years and can wholeheartedly recommend her as an amazing piano teacher and musical mentor. Renita is a skilled and knowledgeable musician, but is also kind and genuine - she has the unique and special ability to connect with others, no matter the age, and make learning music both fun and meaningful. Over the last couple of years, she has become a very cherished and beloved piano teacher to our children. She is magnetic and engaging and really takes the time to make connections with her students, which makes her lessons fun and enjoyable. It is rare to find someone who exemplifies both sides as a music teacher - to possess the objective and technical skills, aptitude and knowledge and the ability to teach the complexities of an instrument, while also being so warm, sweet and patient.
